Mike has spent much of his Christian life serving the body of Christ through evangelism, discipleship, missions, and worship ministry. He has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of cross-cultural ministry and has responded to God’s call to equip and empower churches to engage in the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations.

His life experience is both diverse and far-reaching, including work with Ringling Brothers Circus, service in the United States Military, and ownership of several successful businesses. Through each season, Mike recognizes God’s hand in shaping and preparing him for his current mission calling.

Mike is known for his servant-hearted leadership and a determined, can-do spirit—one that is committed not only to accomplishing the mission, but also to bringing others along in the journey.

Mike and his wife, Patti, have been involved with Missionary Ventures since 2000. Together, they have served on short-term teams in 13 different countries. After retiring from the marketplace, they soon sensed God calling them into a new season of purpose and service.

Today, Mike serves as Teams Director with Missionary Ventures, leading the Team Trips department. His passion is helping churches experience the joy and impact of sending short-term teams to the nations. He values the lasting relationships formed between church teams and cross-cultural missionaries and delights in seeing the spiritual impact these experiences have on participants and their local churches upon returning home.
