"To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” 1 Corinthians 9:22 — Forming relationships between cultures is essential to mission work and ministry. Mission workers must have the ability and humility to understand and appreciate the culture of those they serve to make a real impact. Each participant will acquire the tools and experience they need to understand and embrace a new culture, while humbly sharing the gospel through a bond of mutual respect and genuine friendship.
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15 — Connect with new faces and new places to serve and spread God’s love. Going on a mission team provides each team member a unique opportunity to fulfil the Great Commission in the service to others within a new culture. The impact to those being served and to each member of a team is life-changing and truly unforgettable.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 — Embrace your desire to serve God with passion and excellence. An internship will take you to the next level in your relationship with God and challenge your definition of what it means to be a servant. You will come alongside MVI missionaries to serve and share the love of Christ to those in need. As a result, your capacity for patience and love will grow by embracing a new culture and actively engaging people in their community.
“As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world... so that the world may know that you have sent me and loved them even as you loved me” John 17:18,23 — God’s desire has always been to draw people to Himself. Successful full-time missionary service requires complete surrender to taking the gospel to the nations. Your life will be marked by a total dependence on God for spiritual equipping, emotional readiness, and financial resources. Are you ready to embrace the “world-sized” role God has for you?
