Compassion
“Demonstrating the love of Christ. Making disciples. Strengthening communities.”
We partner with local churches to meet real needs with dignity — through disaster relief, medical care, and care for vulnerable women and children — in ways that reveal the hope of the gospel.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
James 1:27
Being the hands and feet of Jesus
Brokenness is visible throughout the world — in poverty, crisis, injustice, sickness, displacement, and countless other forms of suffering.
Jesus consistently showed compassion for people while inviting them to follow Him. Compassion ministry reflects His heart by meeting real needs in ways that reveal the hope of the gospel.
Compassion alone is not enough. Lasting transformation comes through Jesus Christ.
So we serve people with dignity, strengthen local capacity, and cultivate disciples who become disciple-makers in their own communities — working through healthy local churches.
Our vision
Lives strengthened through Christ-centered compassion, healthy local churches, and faithful disciples who influence their communities for the glory of God.
Our mission
We partner with local churches and ministry leaders to demonstrate the love of Christ through compassionate service that meets genuine needs, preserves dignity, strengthens families and local capacity, and makes faithful disciples who influence their communities for the glory of God.
Our working philosophy
Practical care opens doors for the gospel, discipleship, healthy local churches, and transformed communities — not just more projects.
From compassion to community transformation
Compassion ministry exists to demonstrate the love of Christ through practical care that opens doors for gospel witness, discipleship, and healthy local churches.
Compassion
- We demonstrate the love of Christ through practical care
Relationship
- We build meaningful relationships built on trust
Gospel
- We share the hope of Jesus and invite response
Discipleship
- We help new believers grow as faithful followers of Jesus
Healthy Church
- We connect and strengthen believers in local churches
Community Transformation
- Faithful disciples influence their families and communities for the glory of God
Notice the progression: It’s not just more compassion and projects. It’s compassion that leads to community transformation through the local church. That distinction changes everything.
Three initiatives, rooted in the local church
Each one meets urgent needs through and alongside local churches.
Disaster Relief
Responding to crises with practical help and the love of Christ.
Medical Services
Providing healthcare that brings healing and hope.
Vulnerable Women & Children
Short-term care that protects and supports — not orphanages.
Seven principles for compassion that lasts
Our Guiding Principles
Serve with people, not merely for people — avoiding dependency or unhealthy power dynamics.
Ask “What strengths already exist?” instead of “What problems do we solve?” — and look for ownership.
Build up what’s already there rather than importing permanent outside solutions.
Projects rarely make disciples. Relationships do.
Temporary relief has its place, but long-term ministry should leave communities stronger than before.
Resources are entrusted by God. We use them carefully, transparently, and strategically.
Every compassion opportunity should ultimately point people toward becoming faithful followers of Jesus.
We invest in…
- Local churches
- Local leaders
- Volunteers
- Community resources
…rather than importing permanent outside solutions.
