At Missionary Ventures, we often use the word “empowered” when we talk about reaching the world with the Gospel. There are so many believers out there on the cusp of making an incredible impact for the Lord.
But something has held them back. 
- Maybe they haven’t had enough training,
- Maybe they lack some motivation,
- Maybe it’s simply too far for them to walk in a single day and they need better transportation.
Whatever the hindrance, Missionary Ventures is committed to empowering each one of them to fulfill their God-given calling.
In South Africa, Pastor Lloyd Thabatha already had a zeal and passion for the lost, but he never dreamed what the Lord would do through him. Missionary Ventures South Africa director, Coralie Roets, explains how he was empowered to fulfill his calling, “The Lord brought him across MVSA’s path. We empowered him by offering him general missions training. He has since ministered in Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Malawi and Swaziland. Nations are being impacted by this young man.”
At a revival in Malawi, Pastor Lloyd ministered to thousands of people who came day after day to learn more about Jesus. “I witnessed thousands of people weeping and confessing their sins as they repented before the Lord in each service,” said Pastor Lloyd. Coralie also shared how Pastor Lloyd has seen amazing success in the African Zionist church. “They practice ancestral worship with weird spiritual rituals. A westerner cannot penetrate this cult,” she said. “Pastor Lloyd has accomplished this. Zionists are repenting and burning their artefacts during Lloyd’s evangelical crusades and the national pastors are following up with discipleship.”
