Palm Sunday here in the village was pretty much uneventful. The message the Holy Spirit brought regarding Jesus entering Jerusalem and how this applies to our everyday life.
I don’t typically post the teachings the Lord allows me to share, but I was so excited to see how Palm Sunday should not only be celebrated but the experience applied in our own lives.
Of course, today I learned of what happened in Nigeria on Palm Sunday that 40 people were killed in the churches on Palm Sunday. But today they are with Jesus and have a beautiful crown.
Scriptures: Matt. 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40, and John 12:12-19
main points:
1) The disciples followed what Jesus told them to do, this led to a multitude praising God. (think about it…)
2) There is an order: First, listen (which requires us to be in the word), Second, Do what God says (even if it sounds impossible) Third, watch God Work. Fourth, He draws the multitude, or crowd.
3) God will give different details to multiple believers to fill in the details. When we look at all four of these scriptures, we see more of the same picture filled in from each separate account.
4) Timing…..Jesus passed by way of the Mt. of Olives (a place he often went to pray) and he entered Jerusalem when many people had come for the feast. Even the understanding of the disciples had perfect timing as seen in the book of John.
